I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
Pagami was a wildfire back in 2011 that began as a lightning strike and then ended as a gargantuan government miscalculation that resulted in 110,000 acres within the designated wilderness of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and an undisclosed amount of acres outside of the wilderness to be burned to the rocks. It traveled so far and so fast in such a short amount of time, that I wasn't sure if WE were going to have to evacuate. When they finally put it out after months of nail-biting and millions of dollars, we had time to reflect on the impact the fire had on the animals who could not possibly made it out in time. The fading moose in the flames is my depiction of Pagami. Despite non-wilderness people declaring fire to be part of the natural process in the wilderness, WE never want to go there again. This painting is my attempt to depict the deep sense of loss that wildfires bring to not only the people who live and work in wilderness, but the critters as well.
About Joe Baltich
Joe Baltich is a veteran wilderness artist born and raised in northeastern Minnesota. Growing up on a wilderness resort which he still operates and having served as a wilderness guide, Joe developed his artistic skills and observations in his early life. He sold commissioned works that paid for much of his college education. Then, life and business got in the way and Joe took a 32 year hiatus from painting only having returned back to the brush in 2014. He now paints commissioned works with a growing art business as well as many pieces for his Inspire Wild Art Exhibit at Northwind Lodge which features the famous Painted Canoe of Ely. Joe presently serves as the head artist for the non-profit educational organization, Into The Brush...
