This is the South Bank Lion against a dark blue stormy sky. The statue guards the southern approach to Westminster Bridge in London. Out of shot to the left is the UK Parliament building and to the right is the London Eye.
A few minutes after taking this photo there was a short intense summer storm that sent the tourist running for cover, huddling under Westminster Bridge. I was one of them wet and shivering without a jacket or umbrella!
