Description

This view of the Kootenai River is from a recent trip to Montana. I have fished many times at this very spot. I wasn’t able to fish here this time but I did have the opportunity to spend a short while doing a plein air painting as a starting point. This time of year it is very hard to avoid what seems to be green everywhere. As you can see there are a few strokes of creams, burnt sienna, cerulean and ultra marine but with an eagle eye you might see a spot of red.
